This episode from about 9,000 years ago is said to be the origin of sake. Many people have been fascinated and drunk from the kings and queens of the world to the gods of mythology.

Honeymoon etymology

In medieval Europe, mead was believed to be blessed with children, and it was customary for newlyweds to drink honey on the night of the full moon to encourage child-bearing. This is the etymology of "honeymoon" and there is also a history that it was used as a wedding gift as an auspicious liquor.

How to drink according to the scene

A bright cherry blossom cocktail

The local mainstream is straight, but in Japan it is recommended to split. If you want to enjoy the aroma as it is, you can add soda, hot water at 70-80℃, tonic water or cider to make it sweeter.

Excellent compatibility with citrus

It goes very well with slightly sour fruit juices such as cranberries, oranges, and kiwis, and is also useful as a base for original cocktails that bring out the sweetness of honey.

For cooking and making sweets

An all-purpose herbal liqueur that enhances the flavor of meat dishes with honey and removes odors from herbs. It is also a great substitute for brandy and rum to flavor baked goods.
